Event Schedule

9:00 a.m. | Dean’s Welcome and College Overview

The morning kicks off with a welcome from the CAHSS dean, who will introduce you to the college, its programs, and the values that shape how students learn and grow here. It's a great chance to get a sense of the CAHSS culture before the day unfolds.

9:30 a.m. | Q&A with Current Students

A group of current CAHSS students take the stage to share their experiences, from choosing their major to navigating college life. This is an open Q&A format, so bring your questions. No topic is off limits.

11:00 a.m. | Faculty Sessions (parents/guests) and Sample Classes (prospective students)

Prospective students will have the chance to sit in on sample classes led by CAHSS faculty, giving them a feel for what academic life in the college is really like.

Families and guests will attend separate sessions with faculty and staff to learn more about academic programs, support resources, and what it means to be part of the CAHSS community.

12:00 p.m. | Lunch with Student Leaders

Join current students for lunch in a relaxed, informal setting. This is your chance to continue conversations from the morning, ask follow-up questions, and get a sense of day-to-day campus life from the people who live it.

1:00 p.m. | Tour CAHSS

Get a guided look at the classrooms, labs, studios, and common areas where CAHSS students spend their time. A current student will walk you through the spaces and share what makes them special.

2:00 p.m. | University of Denver Undergraduate Admission Information Session

A 60-minute session with the DU Office of Undergraduate Admission covering the application process, financial aid, scholarships, and next steps.

3:00-4:30 p.m. | Walking Tour of our Campus

A student-led walking tour of the full DU campus. You'll see residence halls, dining options, the library, athletic facilities, and the surrounding University Park neighborhood.

6:00 p.m. | Lecture: How Maps Reveal (and Conceal) Our History

For over 500 years, America has been defined through maps. Whether as tools of statecraft, instruments of social reform, or vehicles for persuasion, maps invest information with meaning by translating it into visual form. Susan Schulten, a CAHSS Distinguished Professor of History and Colorado State Historian, will showcase how maps have shaped our shared history, ranging from iconic battle plans to unknown treasures. Lecture RSVP
