Woodwind Department Visit Day (in-person)

Experience a full day of in-person activities with the faculty and students of the University of Denver Lamont School of Music, free of charge. Participate in a masterclass, observe students at work in performance class, tour the DU campus and the Newman Center for the Performing Arts, and enjoy a pizza lunch. You’ll even have the option to attend a faculty performance that evening, on us! 

Schedule of Activities:

9:30am – Check-in begins 
10:00am – Welcome Presentation by Lamont Admission 
11:00am – Lamont tour 
12:00pm – Pizza lunch 
1:00pm – Woodwind performance class 
2:30pm – DU campus tour 
4:00pm – Woodwind masterclass 
7:30pm – Optional: attend a double reed faculty recital by Ian Wisekal, Sarah Bierhaus, and Martin Kuuskmann 

Additional optional performance: Thursday, November 18 at 7:30pm, the Lamont Wind Ensemble. Joseph Martin conducts Lamont faculty clarinetist Jeremy Reynolds in “Desert Roads: Four Songs for Clarinet and Wind Ensemble” by David Maslanka.

Because of COVID restrictions we need to cap the number of people at each event. As such, we will limit these events to students only. Parents are welcome to wait in the Plaza or drop their student off.
