Why I choose DU: Born and raised a mere five miles from campus, I had always planned to go to an out-of-state school. As my search wore on, I ended up where I least expected, right here in Denver. I knew from the start that I wanted to be a HRTM major and DU had an excellent program that was integrated into the Daniels College of Business. Another contributing factor was DU’s study abroad program. Charrington Global Scholars makes it easy to study internationally and I can’t wait to embark on that adventure next fall. Along with DU’s amazing location and intimate size, I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
Favorite Memory of DU: One of my favorite memories was May Days, a weeklong event that DUPB puts on every May. It consisted of a full-fledged carnival with free lemonade and funnel cake, free lunch at Grill on the Greens and a concert on Driscoll Lawn. It was such a fun week and a great way to spend an afternoon or time between classes with friends enjoying spring in Colorado.
