Why I Choose DU: I picked DU because I wanted a smaller size school where I could know my professors and get involved in activities easily. I also was looking for a school, which could fulfill my love for the outdoors, and DU was perfect being an hour from the mountains. Being a city girl also I wanted to be near a city but not exactly in the heart of a city. Coming to visit I at once felt welcome and comfortable on campus.
My favorite memory at DU: During the winter quarter my freshman year, my friends and I went tray sledding outside the Ritchie Center. We had been talking about sledding down the hill outside the pool for weeks and were waiting for the perfect day where we got lots of snow. We got all dressed up in snow gear and war paint on our faces and sledded for a couple hours on a school night. It was so much fun, I will never forget it!
