Why I chose DU: I chose the University of Denver for a number of different reasons.  First of all, I wanted a school with a small student to teacher ratio.  DU provides the perfect environment to encourage engaged learning in all of the classes with the chance to get to know your professors well.  Also, I thought DU would be the perfect size for me, which it has proven to be.  It is small enough that you can see the people you know around campus, but big enough that you can meet a new person every day.  In addition, DU has a wonderful science program that provides the education I want to pursue my education in the medical field.  The classes are challenging, thought provoking, and very educational.  Overall, I do not think I could have chosen a better school for me.

My favorite memory at DU:   It is hard to choose just one memory that I can call my favorite, but one on the very top of the list was the retreat with the Pioneer Leadership Program (PLP).  We stayed in cabins at Winter Park to spend the weekend getting to know each other better, bonding and have a good time.  We did just that.  We went roller skating, did ropes courses, and spent time with each other.  It was just such a great experience to be able to get to know everyone, go off campus for the weekend, and learn about ourselves and each other.  It was an unforgettable weekend where I made the best friends I have today.
