- A one-of-a-kind study abroad program
- DU seeks to make study abroad available at no additional cost beyond that of a term at DU
- Every eligible junior and senior encouraged to participate (Minimum 3.0 GPA)
- Cherrington sites in dozens of countries
Study and service abroad are an integral part of the University of Denver experience. DU sends 70% of our students abroad, which ranks 2nd nationally among doctoral and research institutions for percentage of students participating. We encourage you to spend at least a quarter in another country, learning about a different culture while you continue your course work. It’s the best preparation for life and work in a world that’s growing smaller by the day.
Through our Cherrington Global Scholars program, eligible juniors and seniors spend a quarter abroad at a DU-approved program—all at no additional charge beyond the normal cost of studying at DU. Cherrington Scholars can choose from programs at more than 100 universities in about 37 countries—everywhere from Argentina and New Zealand to South Africa and Hungary.
Students who don’t qualify as a Cherrington Global Scholar can pursue other study abroad options.
