Minimum Requirements and Application Materials

When you apply to the University of Denver, your educational background is carefully analyzed, based on your school records and the educational system of the country where you were educated. Comparisons are made with our own educational programs to ensure that international students applying to the University of Denver have an educational background equal to that required of U.S. students. Students applying as first-year undergraduates must have completed 12 years of education; those wishing to pursue a graduate degree must have completed 16 years of education. Most admitted students will have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Undergraduate Students

In general, the University of Denver requires the following materials to complete the application:

  • USD$50 application fee
  • Official transcripts
  • TOEFL
  • Standardized test scores
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement or essay
  • Financial verification to cover tuition and living expenses for the duration of the degree.

We also strongly encourage that applicants complete the Hyde Interview.
