Campus Life

Residential Life

Students at DU choose from many types of living environments, everything from two- to five-person suites to themed residential experiences known as living and learning communities.

First-year students live in Johnson-McFarlane and Centennial Halls. By sophomore year, you'll be eligible for a room in our new Nelson Residence Hall, which features a mixture of suites and apartments, common kitchens on each floor, as well as a central courtyard, a grand dining hall and an outdoor dining patio.

The residence experience at DU is characterized by an emphasis on community. Each hall organizes a full calendar of events to bring students together-everything from carnivals and picnics to bungee jumping excursions and film screenings.
