Getting Involved in the Community

Many DU students find personal satisfaction and gain valuable experience from participating in community service projects and getting involved locally. Most students coordinate their efforts through the DU Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning. 

Many DU students have become Big Sisters and Big Brothers to Denver area children; Others offer support for victims of AIDS, cancer, homelessness or domestic abuse.  Some students may even travel abroad to build homes in third-world countries or feed the homeless.  It's the drive and intention of these outstanding DU students that provide hope and joy to those less fortunate.  And DU students thrive from these experiences.
