About Me
Originally from Kailua, HI, I moved to Colorado to attend the University of Denver as an undergraduate student.  I first became interested in DU because of the strength of the psychology program.  I also loved the fact that the school was located near a major metropolitan area that would offer many opportunities not available living on an island, such as concerts, plays, and sporting events.

My first year at the University of Denver was a major adjustment, mainly due to the winter weather and snow, but I absolutely fell in love with the campus and the community.  I quickly made friends, became an officer in the Hawaii Club, participated in the Pioneer Leadership Program, volunteered through the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning, played intramural broomball, and I even learned to snowboard.  I was also afforded multiple international and research opportunities.  I studied abroad in Brisbane, Australia, I presented my senior thesis at a conference in Boston, as well as presented a Partners in Scholarship research project at an international conference in Bologna, Italy.

Overall, my four years as a student at the University of Denver were absolutely amazing.  When the opportunity arose for me to remain at the place that I had come to recognize as home and to share my experiences and all of the great opportunities that DU has to offer with prospective students, I jumped at the chance to become a part of the Office of Admission.

My Territories
I am currently an Assistant Director of Admission, working with students from Arkansas, Alabama, Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland , Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia in addition to being the Coordinator of the Ammi Hyde Interview and Volunteer Programs.
